Purpose

Auc-Util-GlypherPost functions in concert with the Auc-Util-Glypher module to help only post Glyphs created by Scribes when they should be profitable.

Note that GlypherPost is currently Alpha quality. There are a few very important caveats when using GlypherPost:

You must have opened the Appraiser tab at least once during the current session in order to post using GlypherPost.
Never post twice on the same toon without scanning between posts. When Appraiser posts, it does not update the scan image, so not scanning will result in double posting.
The scan image is used for posting, so make sure you've scanned fairly recently.

Basic Functions

GlypherPost allows you to configure a set of options that helps to control the posting of Glyphs found in your inventory.

GlypherPost uses Appraiser for the posting process. For each glyph that GlypherPost wants to post, it will adjust Appraiser's settings per your GlypherPost configuration.

Stack Size

This determines the stack size for glyphs you will post. This should always be set to 1 unless you're dumping your glyphs to get out of the business. This option should probably be removed or hidden.

Number to Post

This option allows you to set a specific number of glyphs to post.

Only

This option causes GlypherPost to only have the number you've specified (or the number based on sales, see below) on the Auction House at any one time.

Smart

This option works like the "only" option except GlypherPost will post more glyphs if the glyphs that you have already posted have been undercut. This option overrides the "only" option. If you previously canceled glyphs that were undercut, this option can allow you to eliminate the cancel part of your posting cycle at the expense of requiring a larger inventory of glyphs.

Allow Competitors

This option specifies how many competing options which you can not undercut will be allowed before GlypherPost skips posting that glyph.

Duration

The duration for the auctions GlypherPost will post.

Base number of stacks on sales

This option overrides the "Number to Post" option. Instead of posting a specified number of glyphs, this option will post, within a specified range, a quantity of glyphs based upon your sales history.

Minimum to Post

This is the minimum to post for any glyph during a posting run. Can be reduced by "only", "smart", and "allow competitors".

Maximum to Post

This is the maximum to post for any glyph during a posting run. Can be reduced by "only", "smart", and "allow competitors".

Days to Consider

The number of days of sales history to consider in the sales-based calculation. This is what gives us our sales/hour for each glyph.

Hours of Glyphs to Post

This is the number of hours worth of glyphs to post. It does not affect the duration of the auctions posted, but merely the quantity of glyphs to be posted based upon the sales/hour.

Enable Batch Posting

This option doesn't affect GlypherPost, but will be passed to Appraiser on glyphs posted during the next posting run.

Enable price matching

Passes the setting to Appraiser.

Pricing Model

This is the pricing model to pass to Appraiser. If choosing Stats:Glypher, price matching should be disabled. Stats:Glypher was the only pricing model GlypherPost was extensively tested with.

Post Glyphs

Pressing this button will post glyphs per your configuration.

Extended Functions and Technical Details

There are currently no extended functions or slash commands for GlypherPost.

Although GlypherPost is Alpha quality, it has worked for the author very well over a period of time.

Features that need to be implemented:

Progress on the button instead of in the chat frame.
Grey the "only" option if "smart" is checked (if possible, if not, uncheck the "only" option when "smart" is checked and v/v).
Remove the stack size.
Auto-switch to the Appraiser tab when "Post Glyphs" is clicked.
